• Screenings & Evaluations

    If you have questions or concerns about your child’s speech, language or literacy development, we’re here to help. Based on the information gathered, an age-appropriate screener may be offered to determined whether a full evaluation is needed. This is a case by case basis. If additional support is recommended, we provide comprehensive evaluations designed to identify your child’s strengths and areas for growth. The process is calm, supportive, and child-friendly, and results are shared in clear, easy-to-understand language—along with thoughtful recommendations to guide next steps and support your child with confidence.

  • Therapy

    At Shoreline Therapy Services, therapy is never one-size-fits-all. We provide individualized intervention tailored to your child’s unique strengths, needs, and learning style. We provide intervention for speech, language and literacy disorders. Sessions are thoughtfully designed using evidence-based approaches. Without speech and language, there would be no literacy. We are here to support reading, spelling, writing, and language skills, to in turn build confident communicators. By partnering closely with families, we create meaningful, personalized support that helps children make steady progress and feel successful as learners.

  • Classes

    Shoreline Therapy Services also offers fun, interactive literacy and language classes through local daycares and community businesses. These group sessions are designed to support early language development, pre-reading skills, and confident communication in a playful, engaging setting. By bringing evidence-based strategies into familiar environments, we help children build strong literacy foundations while making learning enjoyable and social.

  • Consulting

    Shoreline Therapy Services offers contracts with school districts to complete comprehensive speech and language evaluations as well as therapy services. Our services strive to provide essential information to determine student programming, areas of intervention and modifications/accommodations to Individualized Education Plans (IEP).   • Early Language

    Language skills develop from the very beginning. Shoreline provides services as young as 3 years of age. Skills include but are not limited to attention, listening and play. Therapy will target a child lead approach incorporated with play based activities that can be easily carried over in various settings by parents and/or caretakers.

  • Receptive Language

    Pertains to what individuals understand either orally (verbally) or in written form (reading a text). Skills include one’s ability to follow directions, repeat sentences, and/or answer a series of questions. Therapy will focus on following directions, answering questions, identifying objects/animals/people and more.

  • Expressive Language

    Expressive language includes both oral and written expression. Both skills overlap and impact one another. Services target vocabulary, sentence structure, grammar and descriptive language.

  • Literacy

    Refers to the ability to read and write. Such skills are present in functional life tasks, especially in adulthood. Literacy skills include decoding (reading), encoding (spelling) and comprehension. Such skills can be addressed from a young age to provide children with strategies and supports.
